“Sammy!” he called and set off towards his robot. There was no one around, only a white van, driving away from him and towards Sammy.
Moments later, when his mum arrived at the gate she couldn’t see Sammy or Mikey so she chose to go to the left.
Mikey ran as fast as he could towards his robot. The white van drew level with Sammy then swerved over to the wrong side of the road and pulled up beside Sammy.
A man jumped out of the passenger seat, grabbed Sammy and pulled him back into the side of the van.
“Sammy!” shouted Mikey but he was too far away to be heard.
“Go!” yelled the passenger and the driver pulled back out onto the correct side of the road. He put his foot down and the van sped away.
“No!” cried Mikey. “That’s my robot! Let him go!”
